Before the Ballot – Understanding the Current Issues
The next Library Talk is scheduled for Wednesday, September 9th from 5PM to 6:45PM at the Astoria Library Flag Room. It will feature local speakers with expertise in the following topics:

*What and Why of Ballot Initiatives
*Voting History and Laws
*Ways to VOTE in Oregon
There will be time for questions from the audience. Plan to attend and bring a friend or family member!

Looking for a
Leadership Liaison to Indivisible National Financial Support
Ever wonder what it’s like to be part of INCO’s leadership and decision‑making team? This role is your invitation in. As our Liaison to Indivisible National, you’ll help spot funding opportunities, match them to INCO’s projects, and bring fresh ideas to the table.
You’ll join a monthly leadership meeting (about 1.5–2 hours), come to 1–2 retreats each year, and spend flexible time exploring Indivisible National’s funding streams whenever inspiration hits. It’s perfect for someone who likes to follow their curiosity, enjoys connecting dots, and wants to work with a smart, spirited, good‑humored crew committed to strengthening democracy on the coast. We are all volunteers. Our compensation is the joy of working together for a shared vision of what our country can be.

Demonstrate for Democracy
If you’re feeling worn out by the daily barrage of corruption, false peace agreements and abasement of our capitol’s architecture, just to name a few of the regime’s assaults on us and our democracy, join a local Indivisible protest. Spend some time with other people as concerned as you are who are trying to fix things. There’s a demonstration going on near you.
A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
Writing Activates Voter Engagement (WAVE)
INCO activists and postcarding veterans invite you to join us every Wednesday from 3 to 4:30 PM to write postcards to voters in competitive races nationwide. Your postcards will provide valuable information for voters and imcreases voter turnout.
We’ll provide examples and help you with wording We use the Postcards to Swing States campaign to make sure we send postcards where they’ll have the most impact on election results.
NEWCOMERS: We have surplus postcards, but please bring your own thin, colored pens, some White-Out and if possible, postcard stamps.
